BSurge is inferior to mesmer builds using FD or EC with a non-elite blinding skill.
Necros pack much better weakness skills.
There's a few relatively pricey/awkward KD's and one really awkward dazed inflicter.
The rest is mostly armor-sensitive damage, and single-target armor-sensitive damage at that.

Gust is one of the few 3 second knockdowns though, but the is a bit irritating.
And Thunderclap is the only AoE dazed provider (excluding Technobabble, which more or less completely negates the want for thunderclap). The duration isn't too bad, but the three second delay is very irritating.
